Seems during the stormy night last night someone decided to help themselves into our garage through a small window and make off with a small tool box full of sockets, his dad's chain saw we had borrowed for our Ike clean up, and a skill saw.
That's all we could determine was missing - but I'm sure we'll discover other little things gone as time goes by.
We could see where the thief made their exit over the fence and towards the front yard because a red shop rag that was on the chain saw had been dropped on the ground. We're clueless as to why the lid to a blue bucket was on the ground or the handle to the hydraulic jack was on the other side of the fence.
Must have been a small person - the window is really narrow. You can see where they messed up things on the work bench. My husband was working in there yesterday and had everything nice and clean. The police came out and are doing what they can....
Kinda chaps your hide if ya'know what I mean. So this is the message we've put up in case the yellow-bellied thief decides to return for other items.
bottom line - don't mess with these Texans
Reminds me of a quilting t-shirt I saw a week or so ago at Quilt Festival "Don't mess with this quilter or I'll rip your seams out" (grin).
And yes, for those of you that know I'm a woman of faith, I am praying for the thief. Praying that they will be caught and put into a prison that has a Prison Ministry so they can repent and start living their life right instead of taking things that don't belong to them. We can live without these items, but seriously, the person that did this needs to change their life. Perhaps that will happen. Perhaps we'll never know....

wowser! that is rude. and its a blessing that you can pray for them, and Lord willing, they will meet Him sooner, rather than later, and join the winning team!
ReplyDeletebe blessed!
Robert
Since my children were little I've always prayed that if they did anything wrong they'd get caught. And they knew I prayed that. Better to nip it in the bud while the offense was small enough to handle.
ReplyDeleteI hope they find these guys - for their own sakes.
And for your peace of mind!

Oh, Karen, what a bummer! I am so sorry. (And I agree with you. Them what steals from us has it coming.) :)
ReplyDeleteLove you,
Elaine
