It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.... look at the fabulous prints I received in the mail today from one of my suppliers.
Looking at it from the side as it was bundled can't you just see this as beautiful Christmas baskets?
Have to admit, this was a little scary - I don't normally purchase "a pig in a poke" but when my supplier sent an email with an incredible purchase on Christmas flat folds, and knowing that I had a fabric basket class coming up later this month, well...I just had to take the chance!
I'm really pretty traditional when it comes to Christmas prints. I love the true Christmas colors of red and green, even better if it has metallic in it. I also embrace the blue, again if it's metallic and festive looking. There are only two prints in here that I personally would not have chosen, but mixed in a basket they will do great, don't you think??
Thought I'd take a photo showing the whole area, some of you may not be longarm quilters and wonder just what a longarm looks like...
This quilt is a raffle quilt for the Island Quilters Guild in Galveston...tickets are available and the drawing is in May I believe... All done in beautiful batiks and pieced by members of the guild.
This is my view as I sit and quilt. All work is hand guided - which simply means it's my doodles and not a designer pattern nor quilted by a computer.
Blogger is doing it again, twisting my photos. SIGH. Here's a close up of some of the stitchin'. I hope to finish the quilt this weekend as guild members are eager to get it bound and on the circuit to sell tickets.
What a beautiful quilt and your "doodling" is great. They must know that you are a wonderful quilter to give you the honor of quilting their quilt.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is gorgeous! Fabulous quilting.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun you are going to have with the Christmas bowls. :)
Your Christmas fabric is SO pretty. I've been very happy with most of my surprise packages. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd what a lot of talented quilters in your guild! That quilt is gorgeous.
About photos - I've found that when I edit the photos in any way I have to "SAVE" them or blogger will put them in the way they were before I edited them, even if all I did was turn the picture. After you've edited, if you'll click "Ctrl" and "S" on your keyboard at the same time this will save your edited photo and it should then load correctly.
Hugs to you, my friend, Elaine
